This evening’s ISWF has introduced a new word into the vocabulary. I wonder what the precise definition is for “slinking”?
“Areas of low pressure to the northwest of Scotland will bring rain at times here and some strong winds too. The ridge over southeastern parts will slink off to the near Continent, which will draw up some very warm or hot air from the south, with an increasing risk of thunderstorms and sea fog.”
