Inmarsat C advice

We have a Thrane & Thrane Inmarsat C installation. When the unit is powered up, "SELF TEST" appears on the screen, it beeps (very annoying) and continues indefinitely.
The operating manual does not give any advice.
Can anyone help on how to proceed/get out of self test mode?

If it's not logging on then there might be a problem with the aerial or the transceiver. Another thing it could be is a dead battery so start by replacing the battery in the display unit. It's a proprietory battery only available from an Inmarsat dealer. The battery doesn't power the terminal it holds the memory and in my experience if it fails the terminal won't work.

I don't recognise this control and keyboard.
Normally the login light will flash if its speaking to the transceiver up the mast.

Have you tried taking the supply off it and rebooting it again ??
