As the title suggests, I'm after a valve or tap that I can use between two water tanks (the hose has an I/D of 16mm).

I have been on asap supplies site and I can't quite see what I'm after (perhaps searching using the wrong key-words)

Any ideas?

You'll probably have to buy the valve and two hose tails to fit the hose, so it's a question of choosing a valve/tap with the thread to suit the appropriate size of hose tail. If you get an in-line version, it takes two hands to use it - one to hold the body still while you turn the handle - so consider a pedestal version if you have somewhere to screw it down. I have an unsupported one in the feed from the tank as it is offset to port and empties down the sink if you sail boisterously on a port tack.

Ordinary ball valve with hose tails to suit your pipe. Use a couple of pipe clips to retain it against a bulkhead if this is convenient.
