Inland waterways france

Found thisuseful info, cut n paste:

In practice, this means that at any one time when you are in the Schengen area, you must not have spent more than 90 out of the last 180-days in the area.

The entry date is the first day on which you spend any time in the area, the exit day is the last day you are in the area.

One effect of this is that if you are ever away for a full period of 90 days (three months) then you will have accrued the right to another stay of up to 90 days.

I wanted a mooring at La Roche Bernard (Brittany) and was told there was a 5 year waiting list.
I wondered if I bought a boat which was already there if I could get the mooring which it was on.
Found a boat (Fisher 25) and went to ask if I could have the mooring which it was on if I bought it and was told most definitely
that the mooring would be allocated to the people who had been on the waiting list.
So dont think that if you buy a boat there the place its is moored will be transferable.

I got round this by changing the boat I wanted from a sailing boat to a small cabin cruiser with a very shallow keel and managed to get a mooring where it was extremely shallow and the bow of the boat touched the bank.
Good luck.
