A pal of mine bought a boat in Holland fitted with a Liemo Zephyr 3000 Combined Inverter Charger but we are having problems with it and cannot find any information about the beast. I have tried phoning Liemo but they where very vague (I think the company may have changed hands) and could only suggest I "play" with Dip switches 5+6 on the circuit board /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The main problem is that it is overcharging the Batterys and not switching to float charge until the Voltage hits over 30 Volts /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I have already tried running the unit via a Variac to bring the supply down to 230v and that seemed to help a bit but the batterys are still overcharging.

Kind regards, Andy

Well "play with dip switches 5 & 6" seems a reasonable comment from the manufacturer if a little unhelpful, after all there are only 4 possible combinations, 00, 01, 10, 11. A voltmeter across the battery bank would tell you what is happening with the charging voltage with each switch setting.
