Are 12v SIDEWINDER 2 GO AIR PUMPs any good for a dinghy?

No - you need something that produces 2 to 3 psi as a minimum. Sidewinder will suffice for a Lilo.

Methinks not really. Try an LVM high-speed inflator does my dinghy a treat

If you could stand a manual pump the red double acting jobs sold by chandlers for about £17 are excellent; much better than foot pumps. In the West Country we have a group of discount stores called Trago Mills, their price is £3.50! and £2.50 for the slightly smaller model. I am sure they are available elsewhere at this sort of price.
