hi all, been meaning to ask you seadogs this question for months. i have a honwave 3.2m inflatable with the air "v floor " which you pump up to 0.8 bar pressure. even with the floor fully inflated i still get floor bend at the stern. is there anything i can do to rectify this problem as my mate leaves me standing in his yam 330 with solid floor even though its a much heavier boat. hope you can help me with my embarassment. (btw. we are both running 15hp 2 strokes, mine is a mariner and his a yamaha) thanx all.

The honda is a nice boat but the Yam is made by Zodiac and I think that model has a concept derived from the futera hull.

Your only option is a diet /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The solid floor rib will always be quicker compared to "air deck" rib with similar power and weight, the difference between your mates and yours are the differences in the "wetted patch" ie., shape and size (the bit in the water when you are on the plane). Only thing you can do to improve is to over inflate the keel and have the floor as hard as you can I mean really as hard as you can, no harder!
