There were posts a few weeks ago about one of the well known inflatable dingy models with problems with the stuck on sections such as rowlocks, towing eyes, lifting handles etc coming unstuck. I have searched for these posts to identify the make but without success. Does anyone recall which make these dinghys were with adhesion problems?

Fancy replying to your own post!.

Found it eventually the references from a few people regarding Seago tenders having the stuck on bits, oarlocks, lifting handles etc coming unstuck, not sure whether this was connected to location (hot) or not.

Thanks to self

I don't know about recent posts but I have certainly had that problem with my PVC Sevylor dinghy. Most of the stick-on bits have come off and the old adhesive is impossible to remove so they can't be stuck back on. When the floor started separating from the tubes I had to get a new one. Strange that the bonding of the tubes themselves didn't fail at all so they can do it properly if they try.

In general terms, 2-part adhesives will always give a better result.
