Inflatable dinghy pressure.

Can anyone advise me what the optimum inflation pressure is likely to be for my old 2.3m Achilles inflatable with Hypalon tubes?

I ask because I have a Bravo BST 12 Turbo 2-stage electric pump that I have never used and I want to give it a try without blowing to bits the dinghy I have just painstakingly repaired.

The rule of thumb, literally, is to inflate until the tubes yield only very slightly when pressed with a finger.

Yes, that's what I do when using a foot pump but with the Bravo electric pump you pre-set the required pressure and it shuts off when it reaches it.

I suppose I could experiment with gradually increased settings but I thought that if someone could tell me the required pressure it would save me some time.

Also remember to back the pressure off if you're leaving it out in the sun (unless it's got really good pressure relief valves) otherwise you'll here a bang from somewhere....
