Speaking as someone currently on boat tied to a wall, no leccy, almost out of gas, broken generator, overcast day so solar panels struggling I still love my slow cooker, draws a mere 6A. Better still (for purists) the thermal cooker which is sold by the same manufacturers as the Cobb BBQ.
Induction hob sounds great, we have a 2 plate electric hob for sans gas emergencies but takes so long to heat up - yours is obviously better!
