on UK south coast boaters...! You really have my sympathy.
Sky high berthing costs
Fuel about to be multiplied by 3
£100 extra for lights
and what else..?
The solution :
- band together in an effective association.
- build a new marina in Cherbourg harbour (with unemployment there I am sure
you could negotitate some interesting regional and start-up grants).
- collectively build/charter a high speed boat capable of getting you (100 -200
peeps) there from ? Portsmouth in 2/3 hours or pay TCM to bring you all there!
- liberate yourselves from the squeeze.

- Set up a collective boat owning company in Malta to benefit from VAT at 5%.
