Inches away from an O'Day 25.... any thoughts please?

Inches away from an O\'Day 25.... any thoughts please?

A Strange thing happened the other day....I Went out for a pint of milk and came back with an O'Day 25 (liftng keel) instead...How Did that Happen ?
Are there any O'Day learned peeps who would like to share a bit of knowlege with me?

I guess you dont like these boats then, why is that?

One has to start somewhere, If I waited until I could afford the boat I really wanted I would need to re upholster my armchair, that's unacceptable! I want to 'participate not spectate.

Go for it! Though I don't this type of boat, I know how you feel. Bought my first boat, a wooden classic dinghy, this spring after only a little more than one day of consideration - and I do not regret it for a moment!

My spontaneous decision could only be made after deliberation and viewing types of boats that would be suitable for the sort of sailing I want to do and the O'Day is a good compromise. I have not parted with all my money yet, she gets surveyed next week.
Being an old newbie my (First) post (perhaps) should have been more specific but, I was hoping there may be some O'Day owners lurking about somewhere here.

The ideal boat is not necessarily your dream boat - rather she is the one that happens to turn up at the right time, at the right price, and in the right circumstances, and it sounds like this O'Day is a strong contender here.
Follow your heart Marini, but carry out a thorough survey first, and then see where she takes you...... A Donf!
