If you have a smaller boat that you keep at home It is nice to be able to work on her in the winter without always watching the weather. Well I found a reasonably cheap solution that just survived the recent storms in the UK

For the cost of just under £400 I bought a Dancover 6 x 3 m party tent in PVC. It fits over my 19 foot fletcher nicely. it took about 2 hours to put up and is very very light inside. Now I can doo lots of little jobs in the dry and leave my tools etc out between work sessions.

It is now mid Feb and I have managed to get the following done. Without the tent the boat would still be covered up and nowt done
1) Fitted Chart Plotter
2) Fitted Music radio
3) Fitted VHF and Ariel
4) Fitted Transducer
5) Repaired anchor locker base
6) Fitted new nav lights
7) Fitted carpet to the inside floor
8) Shrink wrap to dash
9) Making support for Tonneau for when on swing mooring
10) Removed and repaired seat bases
11) Many other small jobs

I am very pleased with this tent . I will take it down and store it once I have finished. It also keeps the boat quite nice in there

There are many sizes available
