in search of the missing wire

further to my earlier post about the 290 leg not lowering, the helm switch only has 2 wires attached - blue and red / blue.

i am making the assumption that there must be a missing wire although i can't see one.

is anybody able to confirm that there should be 3 wires on the raise / lower swicth and if possible a clue re colour would be appreciated

Hi

Let's see if I can help.

First of all are we just talking about the trim switch panel, not including the throttle type arm.
On the back on the switch are 3 pins, labelled 1,2 and 3.
Pin 1, cannot remember the colour but the cable goes to the 'beach' switching relay.
Pin 2, this has 2 cables, one is red (this is a positive supply) and the other red/blue.
Pin 3, this is a green cable
