Finally go to the bottom of the problem with my in-mast furling system
The rope I had fitted a few years back has swollen over time and is jamming.
As it was an effort to remove the furling assembly in the first place I am looking to put the best rope I can in place.
I have been told to fit dyneema rope
What are others thoughts

I've had the same problem on my z-spar in mast furler. I thought I'd be smart and fit a lesser diameter rope to allow for the diameter increasing/swelling with age. It didn't work very well as the rope now rides over the helical drum and jams it up. I'll be refitting 10mm before next season so don't be tempted to go the route I went. I'll be interested to hear if anyone can recommend the best rope for this use before I buy the next lot. Anyone else cured the problem?
