It's all worked like clockwork to date but the new October update won't work. Anyone else got the same problem? - all the charts update except C8 Dover Strait and associated plans.

Can't be my PC because it fails on both the desktop and the laptop - both running Windows 7.
 
there are red crosses against the charts in the update window and when i open them they are the old editions - there should be an august update installed for the C8 chart

thanks Tillergirl - it worked on the third try (i tried twice yesterday!). i think i was working too quickly. i was opening the file then immediately clicking 'install'. what i thought was the install process - the green bar along the bottom - was actually the portfolio checking process as the update looks at the charts you have. the red crosses mean the software has found a chart that needs updating. so if you wait for the green bar to go all the way across and then press install, the red crosses turn to green ticks. as it was i was pressing install before the checking process had run and therefore the command was not registering.

i'm usually pretty good with software and must have done this successfully in the past. age is catching up with me - but at leasy i have more time to go sailing (if the weather gets better!)
