Is anyone else using any of the digital imray books?

I have downloaded the western med almanac but despite having a 64Gb iPad Air with just under 40Gb of free space and the latest iOS the blooming book just crashes each time I try to view a page.

Brilliant idea to put the books in a digital format, just seems maybe they have screwed up the practical application

quite possibly, but then they came through the App store and the ipad works well in every other respect.
