Having been left on my lonesome all day yesterday, I'd set out my schedule for the day which most definitely did not include taking the boat out and most definitely DID include doing absolutely nothing except chilling on the boat in the marina just enjoying the comings and goings etc etc.
Well...that was the plan anyway and tbh I was quite looking forward to it. Then I get a message asking if I fancied a trip over to Lymington and a stopover at Yacht Haven. 'No thanks' I said and explained all the above. Then I get another call from another friend saying...'C'mon...lets go to Lymington!' Now, being a stubborn moose when I've set my mind on staying put, I said 'No ta but you're welcome to come over and chill if you like.'
At least a dozen times I said 'No...I don't wanna!' until eventually after much bullying (yes BULLYING!!!) and coercing, I finally caved and about 2 hours later...I was on my way to Lymington.
T'was a tad blowy and not the most comfortable ride I've had but we made it, berthed up, kicked off our shoes, chilled for a bit then off we went to party on another friends boat for the evening (turned out half of Swanwick had the same idea).
Have to say...what a friendly and helpful place Lym YH is. Will definitely go back there!
After a blinding night with some great people, we left for Swanwick at 11.30 this morning and although it was very blowy, we had the wind and tide with us so it was smooth as a babys bum all the way back in glorious sunshine.
Great couple of days and sometimes I'm so pleased I'm forced out of my comfort zone and made to do these things.
Brilliant!
Sorry...no pics or vids but hey...that's probably a blessing! ;)

L y h is on of my favourite places I used to have my boat there too in 1999 to 2002. I also have many clients and friends there. Well done taking her out in a blow. Btw Majorca isn't as sunny as I'd hoped for (yet)!!

I have to agree, I didn't plan to be away this weekend as I was working but had a job cancelled and after working all night fri, i came home packed and was at the boat for 5 am couple hours sleep, then rang round to see what was available most quite rightly full, so one of our group booked Lym YH for sat night so we joined them, we always went to Berthon so our first trip to the haven went really well and having 2 spaniels its not always easy to take them out but the on site restaurant was very dog friendly and to the side is a great place to walk them as well, the steak in the reastaurant was one of the best cooked steaks I'd had in a while.

May do a dog friendly post on here one day cause as I meet more people who have dogs there must be many places that are dog friendly.

Cowes sat night, and the lifeboat is a good place for dogs as well.

I'll have you know Mr P...I was neatly snuggled over to the starbrd side to allow you hooligans to pass and it was 5 knts so :p :p ;)

I would rather not get a reputation for bullying but on this occasion if that is what it took to get you to slip your lines and come out and play, then so be it! It did seem that half of Swanwick had relocated here, but that added to the party fun!

Totally agree Lym YH is lovely, the staff ultra helpful, so much so we are still here!

AT LAST !!!!..... after some of that earache I gave you on Saturday morning AAAAAND I left your maltezers UNTOUCHED !!!!!!!.......WELL DONE LISA ......more to follow I trust....
