fair cop fair cop

I was just wondering..

does sailing make you grumpy or are grumpy old moaners attracted to sailing? It's the chicken and egg question.

Sailors get Grumpy when they are not sailing, excpt when it's late, then they get Dopey. If they can't get Grumpy or Dopey then they go sailing and get Happy. However, they can't get Happy for too long 'cos Grumpy gets jealous.
Err, its time I went to sea again.

Isn't there a thread somewhere on the forum that you haven't responded to yet?

Yawn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How right you are, life is so short and when I'm bored I visit here.
So far it hasn't been rewarding and this pile of shite hasn't done anything for me.
No wonder the number of posts from this source is so high, with so little to say the world is limitless

My post was tongue in cheek, did you not see the smiley, yet a quick trawl through your posts of late shows that the saying about glass houses still holds true, hm?

Or is moaning about insurance and suggesting nazi type control on who is allowed to reproduce the only acceptable conversation in Gin-world?

Hey Jools!!
come on its not that bad, sun shone a bit, painted my rent a flat, gawd I hate painting!! John from Fun to Fondle phoned last night, they are sailing Spiritus (moorings Abersoch) from Largs down to Pwllheli this week. Sitting in the club last night eating, today at anchor somewhere fantastic telling me how wonderful it was and me painting!! aargh!!
Mam took youngest to Sheffield Uni to check it out in preparation for me getting the cheque book out next year!! so I couldnt go sailing.
Ah well next week!!

Whilst you lot are out there with the wind in your hair, the rain in the G&T ( sorry not politically acceptable anymore!) spare a thought for those of us less fortunate!! Grafting away trying to turn a tin bath into into a Superyacht! ( with little success)..you want to MOAN!!!!

Well said . so far today I've been running out to the boats in between downpours as each cloud passes over and soaks everything , doing what I can to them while it's dry then running back in when it starts again , but I don't see the point in moaning about it which is all some seem to do . Once again the morons that object to certain users and high post counts forget that they do have the ability to do what I do , and ignore them . There are those that make no secret of the fact that they dislike me for instance , do I give a toss ? . No . Certain people only seem to be on here to disrupt proceedings or continually complain about peoples posts or anything else they can moan about , so let them get on with it cos I'm enjoying the time here and with my boats .
So maybe we should turn this thread into a boaty chat , hows the superyacht conversion going ?

How exactly was this thread aimed at you Dave, seriously I would love to see your working out on this one.

It was a tongue in cheek comment about the general mood on scuttlebut, yet somehow as usual you have managed to make it about you. Take the chip off your shoulder, paranoia is not healthy mate.

Don't believe I said anything about the thread being aimed at me /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif or are you just being argumentative for the sake of it ? . The personal comments are uncalled for IMHO though

Ah, the curse of the smiley.
They aren't obligatory. Often I post without one because I hope the meaning of what I've put is obvious even though it would be beyond doubt if I put a smiley. (see, I could've put a smiley there)
