Hi does anyone know whear the impeller is on a volvo panta v8 gl,and how difficult is the job to carry out.

if you do a search on impeller, or impeller removal you should find a host of suggestions.
If you go to VP uk web site, they might have schematics of the engine (or similar). If you know what it looks like, it should be pretty easy to spot on the engine just by following a bit of plumbing!

Hi and welcome to the forum. I don't know your engine but essentially it is a simple job with the location being the major factor to whether the job is a doddle or a real pain. Usually when you first start impeller changes you don't invest in an impeller puller but will struggle on and eventually (for me after 10 years) buy a puller....so invest in one now. Also a tip picked up on this forum for me was to use 2 plastic ties to compress your new impeller for easy fitting, first noting which way the blades lean.
