yes amazing British engines. The sleeve valve means that the cylinder rotates to expose holes which form the valves. Hence the gears to rotate each of 14x2 sleeve valves. Note the 2 banks of 7 cylinders. The biggest radial piston engine with poppet valves was the 28 cylinder 4 bank Pratt and Whitney R 4360 (that is 4360 cubic inch) each cylinder with 2 spark plugs. With mechanical supercharger and power recovery turbines in exhaust would deliver around 4300 HP. So complex not the most reliable engines. ol'will
