I\'m in Pisa

Greetings from boat land. Out here to have a look at this ridiculous boat. Which is NEARLY FINISHED.

Everythings connected to everything. So EngineTV can come up on any telly, or on the radar, and satellite tv sound can go to the foredeck and er not sure how to work it, but quite a lot of cd's can be loaded.

Pics soon.

Re: I\'m in Pisa

Why have Cd's I thought with having the cutting edge of technology on board you'd have a Mp3 player. 20GB players holds 400 albums worth of music and fantastic quality. I have the one made by Creative and can plug it in to my 10cd player on the boat.

Re: I\'m in Pisa too

Pics will be emailed to Boatone tonite (thanks boatone for kind use of webspace). All I can say is the dashboard is friggin brilliant, you have to see the pics of the dashboard. Hand stitched balck and soft-red leather. Miles better than even Ferrari. The rest is fab too, but cant remeebr much spent most time playing with dashboard.

Remeebr last time tcm asked italians to move microwave a bit lower?. They instantly did it. This time they had laid a chessboard into dining table using perfectly cut squares of maple and ebony, absolootely purfect, then tcm mentioned the balck and white were the wrong way round, so they instantly ripped it all out and fixed it!! you have to see these Italian boatbuilders, fags dangling from mouth but they"ll fix/make anything boatwise.

Re: And I\'m a Pisa\'d off.....

....that I'ma not playing wiv a da big boat too.

Have you got them to fix in the airport type metal detector so no-one can nick the cultery?

Sounds like they're on schedule, a bit different to JohnR's experience in Singapore with his Aleutian innit? And yet you'd almost expect the Italians to be off schedule, they somehow have this perception of poor timekeeping and crap delivery schedules, whereas you've obviously gottem well organised.

Did you get to drive it then? What was it like, come on tell all.

Presumably the actual launching ceremony will be an open invitation to all the forum then? Got me knotted hanky all ready, so I don't get sunburn.

Re: I\'m in Pisa

Have you compared notes with MTB. He's just launched his tug boat this week, way ahead of your schedule. He can give you some good tips for changing the propelor and stuffing grease in holes when it leakes. Have a word with him. Could speed the whole thing up.

Re: not in Pisa now

no, didn't drive it, the factory is on a river 2 miles inland. Rivery pics due soon, look just like Gt Ouse.

There's no metal detector. But there's a camera which can look at the engine, or the outside, so instead of just beep ooer thiv nicked the cutlery, it'll be on tape.

Boat was due for June, but shifted to an early build, hence March. First stop port canto nr Nice, then la napoule, then antibes June 1 onwards.

Anyway, never mind bout that, where are those pics?

They have serial numbers. See 179, this is a new TV channel called "engine room TV". 198 is a LS27 being fixed by tcm. See esp the dashboard pics, fabulous bit of boatery by the Italians............drool
