I\'m in Love! Hallberg Rassy 94

Visited Neyland Marina today, took the kids down to see the family in west wales and took them to feed the ducks, which also gave dad & grandad chance to have a nose at the yachts in the marina. Just where we parked, there was a gorgeous motorsailer moored. Not usually either mine or "grandads" cup of tea, but this boat was beautiful. We recognised the Rassy logo on the side, but neither of us could recall anything about this boat. It had the swept back wheelhouse rather than the usual trawler style and really was stunning. I have found the basic info on the hallberg website, but does anyone know anymore about them? ie. how do they sail? why can't i find any for sale? any website's referring to them?

In deference to the astute incisive observation of my one-time friend wee jamesie I will attempt to put into a different form of words, my earlier response.
I really like the HR94 - I like the wheelhouse arrangement which is very LM like. One observation that I might make is that the mast section seems quite narrow and the mast itself looks like it should be longer. As this is quite a heavy boat - and owning a similarly heavy boat myself, I know that they are most comfortable when sailing in the medium wind range. Perhaps - and I don't know whether this is true or not, the boat is underpowered and would have benefitted from a slightly bigger rig.

Lovely little boats, will not frighten you with their speed, except under motor.
A friend of mine had one and replaced the trailing log with one of those new fangled paddle wheel jobs, the section that was extracted from the hull was frightening in its dimension.
Does what it says on the label, sturdy motor sailor, and to my eyes pretty.

The maths confirms this, 355 sq ft driving 5.2 tons = pedestrian motor sailor.

A real sailing yacht requires 100sq ft per ton, oo-err think I just upset some Nic 35 owners.
