Just re-read an item on re-engining from MBY Sept 2008. The guy had trouble with his starboard engine and thus returned to his marina. This from page 106 & I quote. 'The boat is over 20 years old but the orginal 300hp Volvo TAMD61A engines have never let me down. So what had gone wrong now?. On the way back I phoned Sea Start...... The engineer checked that the props were clear befor starting the starboard engine and removing the HT leads from each of the plugs in turn. Each time the engine laboured until he reached the fifth cyclinder...

Since when have DIESEL engines been fitted with HT leads and plugs?. Slight cockup on the proof reading front?, or have I missed something?

In the dim and distant, I think other alert commentators on here made the same point. Maybe the petrol engine gave up after 20 years of putting diesel in it.
