I'm gonna buy a Fulmar tomorrow. Should I?

Your post was negative suggesting it was over priced and poor value. Others think differently.

Are you serious about this one or idly dreaming again?

BTW if you like the idea of a performance cruiser then as others suggest this is a good contender.

Yes. I was comprehensively wrong. Is there a way of organising a public flogging?!!!

Somewhat idle dreaming but I will buy in the next 2 years definitely so its not that idle.

My comparison of the Moody was not great. Better to compare to the fantasy Starlight 35 I don't have which a sorted one is about 70k.

Now you mention it I'm not sure I need the performance as this will be used in Scotland and maybe Baltic/Norway. So any comments on suitability on that are welcome.

Interesting that in Gosport Boatshed have the Typhoon, a Fulmar and a Sadler 34. So a visit may be in order. Although I am not in the UK at the moment. If they are still all available I may make a trip down south in a couple of weeks. I did go sailing two weekends ago at an altitude of about 2600 metres. A virtual prize for any sailing experience at a higher altitude!

If you are looking for a simple trouble free boat for a few years that will be easy to sell on, then they also have a 2005 Bav 30, Sort of 21st century Centaur in the pecking order but light years ahead in terms of sailing ability and facilities!

Tailor Maid? ... I remember that boat name from my yoof, but I'm sure it was a MoBo in the 80s ... Penny Lane was another one that stuck for some reason... and then there was Minty, a monstrosity in mint green based in Kip ... long before the chimney was knocked down.

yes tailor Maid is a Fular based in Largs think it was sold a few years back ? Also correct there was a Tailor Maid (Princess 45) back in the 80's was on it one of my school pals dad owned it
