I\'m getting married in the morning.

There has been a couple of posts recently about sailing 'n' marriage not being compatible. Well here we go! 1100hrs TOMMOROW! We are going to do our damndest to prove it is. Met Sam 3yrs ago, she'd never sailed, now she sails at every opertunity and wants to be a livaboard. (And she's beautifull with it) /forums/images/icons/smile.gif/forums/images/icons/smile.gif/forums/images/icons/smile.gif/forums/images/icons/smile.gif/forums/images/icons/smile.gif Oh bliss! See you all in 2 weeks or so.
Regards, Mike.

Good on yer Mick and Sam. Congratulations to you both, I hope you have many many good years ahead of you.

I'm still a married man with over 4o years of sailing, 4 great kids and our 35th anniversary soon. The only bit I did not understand to begin with was the 30 bob down and 75% of all you earn for the rest of your life, wouldn't change a thing if I had my time over again.

Avagoodwedding........

Congratulations and well done. Ignore the doom and gloom- we've been married 10 years, , together 13 and sailed all that time and still loving it even now we have dog and baby. Have a great day and enjoy a brilliant party that's just for you.

Regards

Alex

Good luck - been married for 30 years now - she's not so keen on sailing, however now that we sold our boat, she is looking at the adverts for another one to buy - so patience is paying off! You will never understand female logic!

Needless to say marriage needs working at - ignore titbits on the side - they invariably complicate life and eventually bring the shit down on you.

Enjoy tomorrow

Chris

Congratulations!! I'll pass on some advice my dad gave me when I got married many years ago:

When your new wife asks you to do something,
Do exactly what she says,
Do it straight away,
And do it WRONG,
She'll never ask you to do it again....!!

Best wishes to both of you...........Tony C.

<See you all in 2 weeks or so.>

So thats how long your expecting it to last?

Seriously though - congratulations! Nothing in this life beats a really good marriage - even sailing! (Though some of the board may disagree) - but after 33 years of marriage it can't get even better - can it? Yes it can.....

Oh and when you start initiating the youngsters into the sailing life - do NOT let them bring crabs aboard. Total chaos, mutiny and consternation when the bucket containg the days haul spilled into the bilges. After an unhappy evening totally dismantling the boat to evict an uncertain number of crustaceans from their various hidey holes, and finally getting the little dears to bed around midnight, and just got our heads down when:

" DAAAAAAD! I can HEAR one under my bunk....!

Re: I\'m getting married in the morning.

Have a splendid day, and enjoy each day after.
Lynn & I are happily divorced from our respective ex's and we enjoy every day.
We are both on the SSR Certificate as co-owners of Second Chance - just the way we live our life -tied together.
Sod getting married on a Saturday though - its an official sailing day.

Best of Luck

Jim & Lynn

Restores your faith in human nature after all the posts on divorce on this forum. Be happy and have a great day.

Thanks for making me smile anyway!
