After a couple of years of living on a barge, I've given in and bought a proper boat

congrats on the boat! have you sold the barge? could the barge not go and get the yacht? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I live on the barge, and needed extra (part-time) sleeping space for a teenager.

Also, barges are strictly fair-weather boats (although I have done London to York on mine). My gf and I would like to do more serious sailing, and this little yacht looks just the ticket.

Time is the problem - 4 kids between us, full-time jobs. Tempted to take a week off work and port hop down the coast. Until I've had the boat a while I wouldn't want to risk a straight offshore passage.
