Got the engine running.. the valves were out but got that sorted tonight but then there was another fault that was very very embarassing.. fixed that too and am about to open a beer to celebrate fixing the thing and to ease the pain of realising a glaring mistake.. doh!

happy days again, should be back on the water this weekend at Lymington with the kids, wife and mum in law.

worse than that mate.... a top tip for those taking carbs off manifolds... make sure the washers go on top of the carb on refitting as opposed to fitting between the base of the carb and the gasket!!!!!!... what a plum I am.. I put it down to tiredness ;-)
