The best LED sign lighting is German. Try Yachtlite. We had this on a previous boat and the difference on quality & the actual light coming out is massively different to cheaper alternatives. Get a quote and check the specifications compared to alternatives would be my advice.

We decided this time round to stay away from led lighting and go for a polished stainless steel sign with stand off clear acrylic. Personally I think led back lit signs are a bit naf nowadays.

Hi Does anyone know where or who does thin illuminated boat lettering and not the chunky type letters ?
Jon
Presume you are taking about the section width, not the depth (stand off depth from transom).

I'm not aware of any. They usually need say 10mm for the LED strips then 6mm or more of acrylic each side, so the minimum section with tends to be around 25-30mm. You can have the stainless steel part narrower by spec-ing a 45 degree shoulder on the acrylic part, which of course changes the look because you get a rim of light around the edge of each letter.

Lots of suppliers. Yachtlite in Germany are clearly the best and 100% reliable, but 1.5x or 2x the price of cheap alternatives that only last a few years before problems start.
