Not popped my head in here before............Any experiences of launching using the slipway in the harbour ?

Or any other slips nearby?

Any permits/restrictions etc etc, you get the picture.

Google Earth looks OK. But Local knowledge would be handy. Very handy.

Adrian,
Ifracombe has a good slip. It is slatted concrete and has good tyre adhesion. launching is about 2 hrs either side of high water where you will find 3-4 feet. It is an easy launch for a smallish boat and I have often launched a friends' 21 foot Jeanneau with great ease. Deeper draft craft will need to be driven down the beach when the tide is out and floated off their trailer. With regard to fees etc, last time I paid for a launch it was £5. This was a few years back but not that long ago. The harbour master is very accommodating and can be contacted on his mobile. I hope you have a good time in Ilfracombe and if you feel like it PM me as I only live 3 miles away and maybe we could meet for a beer in the YC?
Nicki.
