go to Abebooks.com for second hand books, and Bookbrain.co.uk (or .com, cant remember) for comparison of lots of online bookshops - new books.

I've been buying from Abebooks for ages - hasnt failed me yet.

I agree Susy, Abebooks.com are great- my most recent purchase was a book I vaguely remembered from childhood called 'Brassbounders of the Rosemount' about merchant navy cadets on a steel sailing vessel- not as good as my memory made it, but quite good description of the tough life on ships back then.
