After winning tonights Euro-millions, which you won't, because I'm going to win it... what would you buy?

I'm stuck on a second hand one of these, even though I could buy one every three months off the interest alone. Maybe I'd buy 3. One for the Med, one for the Caribbean and one off my house in Sydney Harbour.

I just noticed that one of them is called 'Bravo Zulu' tut tut!

Surely you jest with £88 million to play with. May I suggest sir enquires about one of these:

You can easily afford the team of people to maintain and sail it. Even if your experience is motor thingies you would not be required to do more than don you designer slacks & blazer, sip cocktails.

I would track down the owner of a beautiful British yawl called "Gimcrack" that I saw in Brittany a few years ago, and make her owner an "an offer he couldn't refuse".

I would stick to a small 60 or 70 footer that you don't need crew. More privacy and go to nicer places. An old guy last week said 'Andy, if you could buy any boat ,what would it be' (i'm sail) , i said 'a sail yacht like what he has (50-60 ft). He said the way forward if money is no object is a big motor yacht. Thinking about it he is right.

not again one of those floating saucers with the stanchions as optional extras and the pretentious square taps in the heads! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I'd buy this and clear off to avoid all the jealous folk on here /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Re: Yawl "Gimcrack"

Thanks for that. I have found the ad with Google. Slight problem - I don't have the £63k asking price spare, never mind £88M! But she is a lovely boat.

For £88 million, I'm sure I'd consider selling.......... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I'd keep my powerboat in the SofF and probably buy a big Cat in the Carribean. Then I'd sail it back over this side and bugger about a bit, then sail it back.

Would £88 mill be enough? Anyone know?

I'd charter this for a week:

Then I'd buy a 30-footer of some kind, problem with the bigger boats is they can be a pain to take out when you want to whizz round the bay every day like i would, far too much work in my opinion, i'd just enjoy having something a bit bigger than what i have now /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

It's yours!
