Some of us plan to sail round Rockall this summer. I'm using it as a platform to raise a bit of money for the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust. Maybe I should have said more about the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust. Please take the time to read about the most excellent work done by this organization. There is a link on the "Just Giving" page

The Ellen MacArthur Trust identified a neglected area: young people recovering from cancer. They work in conjunction with health professionals to give young people experiences that help them reintegrate after their awful ordeals. A genuinely useful charity.

Edit: I have no connection with it, by the way.
 
Just read the link above. Personally I rarely sponsor people hoping to cover costs plus a bit for charity, for doing what is essentially a fun thing.

Then I read this:

"My target is £3600.00 This is the cost of a one week voyage
for a group of 6 young people who are recovering from cancer. "

Well done Fascadale; hard to imagine what it must mean to those kids who have been through so so much.

Such a worthy cause and Good Luck all :encouragement:

Thanks: none of the money raised will go to covering the cost of the trip. All of it, other than a small charge made by "Just Giving" goes to the EMCT
