Is the medical form E111 - or its new version since June 1- valid and effective for treatment if you are sailing in European Mediterranean waters yet spend no more than a few months in any country, including the UK? I saw on a thread some time ago that if the boat was registered in the UK the DSS allowed you to use it abroad as long as you had no permanent residence anywhere. Missionaries can apparently use the E111 without six months residence in the UK, so why not nomadic, itinerant yotties?

I certainly believed that it was valid for any UK citizen travelling anywhere in the EEC. Anyone know anything different?

But missionaries are perceived as respectable - unlike reprobate liveaboards ...

What clasifies a missionairy. Could I be one as I preach the virtues of Guinness around the world?
