cheers Joe

Looks like he's been using it to mix plaster. Note the half empty bag in the piccy; probably hasn't done the cooling waterways much good. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Looking at the condition I would say it is worth about £50 at the most (unless you find a total fool) Try the for sale section on this site.

Good ruse.

I have been looking for a 2/2.5 hp outboard to replace our very good 4HP Yamaha (need a lighter engine so I can maybe lift it onto and store it on the boat) and am astonished at the price they go for on Ebay. £300+ for a Honda when they can be bought new for £399 with a 5 yr warranty. People are also generally buying unseen.

I don't know whether the same is true for bigger engines

Judging from the second chance offer I received recently after bidding on one getting the money may be a problem.

presumably you are replacing the 4 hp purely cause of its weight, therefore, recommend that you seriously consider the 2 stroke tohatsu 3.5. It is very nearly the same weight as the 2/2.5 , but with the grunt of nearly the 4 hp. The slight extra weight is primarily cause it has a neutral gear (very useful)

I didnt realise a bit of dirt on the leg would bring the price down so much /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif It is a 25 HP and runs like a dream . /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
