Boatone is kindly offering a hosting facility for boat pictures on this forum. To use, go HERE and then to the Boaters Gallery. The first frame gives instructions on what to do.

right click on the thumbnail and select properties from the menu that appears.
then put cursor on the name of the file and move from front to back to highlight it all whilst holding down left button - rmove finger from left button and position cursor on highlighted text area press right button select copy (or simply write out the address ona piece of paper)....
then come here and type {image}address pasted or typed{/image} where the brackets are the square ones not curly like above ...and hey presto!
Like this....which is the one next to yours in the album
Deborahs_new_boat_008.thumb.jpg

unfortunately yours doesn't actually appear to be in the album - just the description

Duncan hi,

Sorry expressed my self really badly.... downloaded thumnails software with the intention of making a thumnail for the forum - turned 'all' my pix into thumbnails but in the User options page to paste a thumbnail to go beside my name it needs a web address and that's where I got lost........

Choose one to use. Go to boatone's gallery and find the section for YBW thumbnails. Open it and go to 'Add Photo' (top right) click on it and follow the instructions. Use the 'Browse' button on the right of the box for the location and go to where you have the pic stored on your PC. Click on 'Upload' and wait. Your thumbnail will eventually appear in the gallery. Once it is there follow the previous instructions for obtaining the URL. Once you have that go to your User Options and put the URL in there.

It's not as hard as it sounds.

Good luck.

Howard

Should have added, Please read the Readme pic in the gallery before you do anything. Make sure your thumbnail is within the size limits.

Is this the picture?

boat_010.jpg

If so, sorry but I'm a raggie and can't help you identify it. You might find the mobo chat forum more help than PBO R to R, which is mostly read by raggies. To display this pic in your posting on another YBW forum, include the following in your message:

[image]http://arweb.co.uk/aralbums/album07/boat_010.jpg[/image]

(you can 'cut and paste' it straight from here).

Re: Is this the picture?

It seems that other people can see it. Can you see any pictures in postings on this forum? The one in Duncan's posting, and this one for example?

If not, click 'User Options' at the top of this page then 'Edit Display Preferences', check 'View user's pictures with their posts', and click 'Submit'.

Top half looks decidedly "homebrew" to me...

If you mean u think it's been photoshopped, then no, entirely genuine. Made all the boaty mags, and even national press at the time
