identify engine and where can I get an engine manual

Hi all,

Our community has purchased a second hand boat, and we need to identify the engine and source the engine manual and parts list as PDF files. After asking and searching the internet we got as far as it is an IVECO 6 cylinder turbo. One source said it LOOKS LIKE 8061SM20. There are a few painted over numbers on the engine, nothing that helps us.

Can anyone suggest how to confirm the exact engine for sure, and suggest where we should look for engine manual & parts list?

You need the numbers for ID'ing the thing, now and later. So better to remove the paint as a first.
