Working through my previous loss of power issues, everything seems fine up to now so I thought I would change/overhaul the lift pump for the sake of £30 or so. Price from a Sole dealer £220 + shipping!

Can anyone recognise the pump from the poor photos (sorry about the size as I can't reduce them easily) as an automotive/agricultural model? It's a bit inaccessible so I apologise for the quality. It's stamped iMSA so that should narrow it down a bit. Google isn't proving to be very helpful this time. The Sole part number is 131 14 001. Engine is a Sole Mini 34.

Colind3782,
As already stated the Sole Mini 34 is a marinised mitsubishi engine, possibly the K4 series.
I have the Thornycroft marinised version of that engine, the T80.
My original lift pump is shown in an attached photo. After it failed I replaced it with a Facet type electric pump powered via a fuse from the ignition switch. A photo of the instation also attached showing the Facet type electric pump and the blanked-off mounting for the mechanical pump . This has the advantage that the fuel system is primed when the engine ignition is turned on before the engine even turns giving much quicker starting and it also enables easy bleading of the fuel system without the need to turn the engine.
Looking at your photos it appears that your pump may not be an original as it would have been painted the same as the rest of the engine. If this is true it may have a different source.
If you want to stick with a mechanical lift pump then this is the same one as originally fitted to my T80 (Mitsubishi) and may be the same as yours.
