Hi everyone,
We have a Warrior 35 (Trident) and I've decided to service the steering system while in the shipyard.
Trying to identify it, I’ve dug through some old steering system docs from around the time the boat was built, but nothing lines up exactly. The majority of the steering gear is basically identical to Whitlock systems I’ve seen, so I’m still fairly convinced it’s a Whitlock. And the pedestal fits the cockpit base perfectly, which makes me think it’s original and not something added later.
The only thing that doesn’t seem to match anything I’ve found is the connection between the wheel and the pedestal. That specific interface looks a bit different from the usual Whitlock setups, and when I put it back together there’s a small amount of play, which makes me wonder if one or some original parts might be missing.
On the picture you'll find everytuhing that I took out while to service.
Any thoughts welcome and much appreciated
