Well, it wouldn't even be good as a cheap dingy so I suspect as a liferaft it would be ludicrous. In my order of preference I would prefer to have a boat that didn't sink and then a decent liferaft that was easy to lauch and had all the appropriate emergency gear in it.

It does look quite bright so it should get noticed quite quickly, which may be a blessing.

Agree although I do keep similar on board in case we want to get ashore not having brought the dinghy, we sail on Windermere mostly and I would only use it in conditions and and for a distance that I would consider swimming.
