Thought I'd celebrate my 1000th post (OK a newby still compared to you lot) with a pic. Took this barge silhouetted against the dawn at Harty last weekend...

I think that's a smashing, really romantic, picture. Romantic ? Well, because the barge is not under way, but ready to go as soon as the brails are loosed, and any port between Aberdeen and Chatham could be next on the list.

I love anchoring at Harty Ferry. I always find it so peaceful.With that touch of something, that I like, but don't feel I want to find out.
