Has anyone had trouble with the waterproof mic on this set.Everybody tells me that my transmissions are muffled and hard to understand, I have tried different distances from my mouth with no effect thanks

Don't really know what the problem would be. I have a 501 but it's installed at the chart table - Could there be water in the mike?

There could be water in the mike as the radio is mounted in the cockpit but as it's meant to be waterproof to 5 metres that shouldn't be a problem. I will send the radio back at the end of the season and see what they say. I assume that your radio has no transmission problems so it must be a fault with mine and not a characteristic of waterproof mikes. Thanks.
