I have 2 of these hand helds. One will not transmit though It will send 'presell switch' morse !!
Is it worth trying to repair? have repaired?

There is one in For Sale @£70, might cost that to repair.

The M31 isn't a great radio, probably better to put the money towards something else.

your comments seem to indicate that it is transmitting but not being modulated by your voice. I would look at the microphone or if it has jacks for plugging ina remote microphone there could be a problem there. However as said a professional will charge you more than it is worth for a repair unless you are really lucky. olewill

Thanks. Will get inside and have a look, you never know it may be something I can spot espec if I focus around the mic area.
Nothing to lose anyway! I will at least have a spare battery pack!
