Icom ic-m3 Euro handheld vhf

I have the above radio and have not used it for ages.
I have been charging it up for about 12 hours and I cannot remember if the red led on the rear turns to green when fully charged or if it stays red to indicate it’s charging.
Wondered if anyone has same radio and let me know how long it takes to charge and if the light changes?
The batteries are Ni-Cds.
