Hi
Will either of these courses reduce Insurance premiums. Also do you need both if you go abroad, and want to hire a boat for a day or so to go fishing and exploring or just one of them?,and finally what sort of costs are we looking at for each or both as the case maybe???

Rgds
Julian

If you hold the powerboat level 2, you can apply to RYA for ICC. It is free to members or £33 to non members. I have only been asked for ICC once in Greek Isles, because the engine was over 25HP, You do not need it for engines less than this They simply show you how to anchor and tell you to be back an hour before dark.

Yep! but not a lot. I always take a 10ft telescopic rod and small Shimano reel, it fits into suitcase. If you buy a bag of shrimps from shop, cut into small pieces you can catch all sorts of bream, usualy Dentex. There are some very narky morray eels as well, so keep your hands in your pockets /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
