Last July, I wanted to go to France but I couldn't fit in the ICC before our main cruise.

We went to the CI instead. Had a great 3 weeks their!

Just completed the ICC, yipee, France here I come.

The weather the day before the Icc, wind about 1mph!
On the day, it was blowing 4 to 5 SE. Sea was lumpy, not the sort of weather I would choose to go out in.

Following day of ICC, wind 5mph!

Pleased to say everything went smoothly but I am glad its over!

Ps, got all the lights correct!

What made me do it was the marina staff in Jersey asked to see all the paperwork for a French boat rafted to us. Fortunately the French man had all the required papers and he continued his holiday.

The Jersey marina staff said that if I was caught without the ICC, the French authorities could impound the boat until someone arrives with a suitable qualification. With that on my mind, i didnt sail into french waters.

May be quite true what you are saying but I didn't want to take the risk. With my luck, I would probably be the first!

Well done!
Sadly however, nobody will ever ask you to produce it.

Had to show an ICC whilst renting a boat in France a few years ago.
Spent 5 weeks on Rodos in Sep and Oct but not asked once.
Mind you that was helming a private vessel.
Anyway cliffdale.
Well done that Man and here is a large PAT:D

yes you will only ever be asked, if you haven't got one!
after 5 years now in french italian and greek waters - never been asked for it. makes you feel like going up to anybody who looks official and saying psst....wanna see my ICC? Go on, go on, go on.... its a really nice one......
