We are going to Ibiza next week to spend 10 – 12 days at Anchor. Can anyone advise where we might be able to get fuel and (more importantly) water in a Marina without the need to use a passaralle as we don’t have one.

Ideally would like to find a berth for an hour or two that is on a pontoon that is not Med style berthing.

Santa Eulalia has an alongside fuel berth on the port side as you enter the marina and if I remember correctly there is a water hose on the fuel berth. On the same quay but round the corner there is the waiting area for the harbourmasters office and I think there's water there too. If you pitch up around lunchtime, generally everything closes up for siesta and you might be able to stay there for 2-3 hrs.
IMHO Ibiza is the best cruising area in the W Med, the only problem being that everybody else thinks so too and hence it is very overcrowded in July/Aug. Don't miss the anchorage at Espalmador which is the nearest thing you'll get to the Caribbean in the Med although once again it gets v crowded and the holding isn't good

Santa Eulalia - last week - I think this is the alongside berth you mention?

And the fuel berth

We've just got back from a trip to Ibiza - wind picked up a bit when we were in Formentera so we needed a safe place to hide - Santa Eulalia was a really nice marina to hold up until the weather was a bit more favourable. - there dont seem to be many places to hide in Ibiza - the islands are still very new us but I thought that Mallorca offered better protection - very few buoys to pick up in Ibiza and some of the anchoring was difficult to get a good hold.

This is our recorded track.

We were out there for just over a week - a small group of us from Sant Carles decided on an early season cruise.

This was Cala de Port Roig - nice little raft.

Sorry I didnt get a chance to reply to you on the other forum but things got a bit busy (I mean a bit boozy really) when we got back to SC.

If you get a chance to read this before you go, you must visit Cala Portinatx - we popped in earlier this year and then spent a couple of nights there last week

Fantastic

I have a few more pics of Ibiza last week if anyone is interested.

Yes Hurricane, thats the quay. There was water there in 2004/5/6 when we last were in Ibiza but I cant see any sign of a hose now. S Eulalia was also our favourite marina in Ibiza too. Its that bit less hectic than the Ibiza Town marinas and a fair bit cheaper too but nearly as difficult to get into. We particularly liked the boardwalk area in Eulalia. Yes I recognise Portinaitx. The only prob with those northerly calas is if the mistral starts to blow a bit, you've got to get out but they are less crowded than the calas elsewhere on Ibiza.
Yup when the wind gets up in Ibiza there is nowhere to go especially in July/Aug when the marinas are completely chokka. Its what kept us away in the end. There were so many boats anchored around Ibiza during our visits that I often wondered what would happen if a gale blew through. The nearest island with marina spaces would be Majorca and that is a 60 odd mile open sea passage away which would be untenable in gale conditions. During our visits we did encounter a couple of nights when the wind blew up from nowhere and I spent all night on the flybridge on watch.
Having said all that, I still rate Ibiza as the best cruising area I've been to in the Med. There are just so many gorgeous anchorages, Ibiza Town is a buzzing place but then you've got sleepy Formentera if you want to get away from it all. Just avoid San Antonio of course. Yes please if you've got more pics, I for one would be really interested in seeing them
