It is essential to understand the nature of the Iberian Peninsular that bits of paper have great meaningand although you may think you have all the bits you need it is suprising that a original instead of a copy is required or indeed you actually dont have the form they require.My Spanish mate was boarded in Muros last year and although he carried a FOLDER of papers the Guardia Civil managed to berate him for NOT haveing all the bits.Luckily being Spanish and intelligent he used one tecnique which can be handy to remember....FAWNING.

I got boarded twice by Customs in the Rias,once iin Ria de Arousa,once in Ria de Pontevedra..no problem. One did ask me what the Saltire flying from the port spreader was.When I told him he said"Scotland and England is tthe same."

I said "Spain and Galicia,same thjing!"
"Ah,now I understand" he said.
