Hello,

I've just finished reading "At the Tiller" by Iain W Rutherford, a collection of cruising logs mostly from the West Coast of Scotland and then when the author had joined the Coastal Forces at the outbreak of WW2, when he served aboard Fairmile B's and fishing drifters.

At the end of the book, the author enigmatically finishes with "There's no space in this book to recount my time aboard MGBs, Corvettes and Destroyers." but I can't find any record of him having written another book.

Does anybody know what became of Iain or if he wrote any more books? For anybody who's not read "At the Tiller", I can thoroughly recommend it - it's both inspiring and amusing in equal measure.

Any help that can be passed my way would be very welcome,

Thanks :)

IIRC, I found my copy of "At the Tiller" in the local Oxfam bookshop, enjoyed it and subsequently found that link to his boat - but don't know if he wrote any other books. Although a Google search suggests he didn't, I too would like to know if he did.
