I will donate £10 to the RNLI if........

I'm in. You're the Judge. Its a nice walk down to the end of Southend Pier, they are getting used to me at the Lifeboat Station now.

Mischieveous theads shall be pulled by moderator.

And own goals in the form of spoiling threads yourself don't count.

In fact, I declare that any Colreg threads are to be deemed to mean (for the purpose of loot collection and dispersal)discussions on anchoring for the week /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I am already on a monthly d/d to the RNLI so will not add any more at present but if others do; make sure that it is a gift aid? so that the RNLI can claim the tax back making the £10 worth £12.80 ! I hope that I have got this correct ...

No it means if you donate it properly the RNLI will not have to pay the vat content and can keep the £10,
Regulation 2433 re VAT and charity donations page 14 paragraph 6 rule 2 applies….oops!!

Is that the one about charities keeping clear of accountants in narrow channels?

LOL,
No, David the charities are alright, It`s usually the vat man and the accountants that find themselves on a collision course, then they avoid each other by applying the rule “greed to greed.”
